Serenata Released Today

Here it is, Alfie’s new Album of Italian songs is out today. We recorded it in April/May this year in the very same studios as the original Band Aid single “Feed the World” which has sadly now been made into a block of luxury apartments so this will be the last album produced there.

My favourite song on the album is Addio, sogni di gloria which means ‘Goodbye, dreams of glory’. We were really pleased with the warmth of the strings on this track and Alfie sang it with real depth of emotion. This great song is truly operatic in melody and emotion and is about an elderly man remembering his hopes for the future when he was a young boy and how he must now say goodbye to those former dreams of glory.

Don’t worry it’s not all depressing stuff, Volare will get you singing along with gusto!
