We've had a busy few months working on a new project with Sir Bryn Terfel. We've spent some time in a lovely studio in Wales for a change and looking forward to announcing more details about it soon!
Other producing work is a second album for Decca with The Poor Clares of Arundel, our favourite group of Nuns to record and I'm not just saying that for the cake and biscuits we are always given. 🍰
We're also about to do 3 dates at the Brighton Fringe Festival with our cabaret show, Music Mayhem and a Mezzo. There will be comic songs about everything from the Coronation to prosecco, strange musical mashups and all served with an operatic sense of humour although James rarely breaks a smile! If that doesn't appeal, it's only an hour long, nice and dark inside and there is a lovely pop up bar outside. Tickets here
I've also got some performances coming up at the Crazy Coqs, London; a series of evenings of conversation, music and dancing called Avril Freck: Notes on Love and Being Alone (I'm the music bit, definitely not the dancing!). First night is tonight starring Lesley Manville but other dates include leading ladies Sophie Thompson, Alison Steadman and Noma Dumezweni https://avrilfreck.com/
Now it's May, here's to a less rainy summer than spring!
